Speed dry nail paints are perfect for emergencies. But manicurist Elisa Ferri stresses that’ as fast as they dry, that’s as fast they chip’. Daily touch-up is required with these fast drying formulas.
Some strong chip resistant formulas are also available which are considered as the tortoises of the polish race due to their slow pace i.e. L’Oreal Shock Proof. Their pace can be picked up by submerging freshly painted nails in a bowl of ice-cold water for around half a minute. This will harden the goopy polish.
Speedy manicures are better to go with light shades. Ferri says. “You can even get away with just a wide stripe down the center” instead of painting the entire nail.
When you will not have time for polish, clean underneath your nails, apply a buffing cream and shine them with a chamois buffer.
