Our skin is that part of the body which is very delicate and demanding. For keeping it glowing and healthy, we have to pay attention towards it. Scrubs are a wonderful treatment for your rough or dull skin. Salt scrubs or body scrubs are good for this purpose but they are expensive too. But don’t worry! Just relax and give it a try at your home.

The main expectation from an at-home body scrub is the exfoliation of dead cells. By exfoliating the outermost layer they are expected to make the skin softer and younger. Home body scrubs cannot be as much beneficial as the ones offered by spas but they hold some benefits indeed and are inexpensive as well.

PROCESS FOR A BODY SCRUB AT HOME

A good body scrub can be bought from the market and can be prepared at home. Another option is the use of exfoliation mitt just like Korean spas.

Take a warm tub and soak your skin, to make it softer, for at least ten to fifteen minutes. Make it more relaxed by adding essential oils like lavender, ylang-ylang or rose-geranium. Then give yourself some time to get dry but avoid rubbing your skin hard using a towel for it.

Now take a towel and place it on the corner of your tub and sit on it. Take some body scrub on your palms and apply it on your skin gently and smoothly. You can start it with your legs.

Clean your skin with a slightly wet washcloth. Rub extremely slowly, not too hard and not too soft. Give at least one minute to each and every area of skin. Don’t be impatient because salt scrub is already very hard. So stay gentle!

Back is the most difficult part to apply a scrub. Roach as much as you can otherwise you can take help of your partner. A long and soft body brush can also be used for this purpose. After doing it, rinse your body under the shower.

While shower is going on do not apply body scrub or shower gel otherwise it will sweep away with no use.

AT-HOME BODY SCRUB INSTRUCTIONS

  • A home body scrub is beneficial to take at least once in a week. It will make your skin smoother and softer. So make it a habit!!
  • If you feel that salt scrub does not suit your skin then do not apply it again and use milder ones, like sugar scrub, to comfort your skin.
  • Avoid applying body scrub on your face because they are prepared for hard skin and face’s skin is comparatively more sensitive than skin of other body parts.
