What does Scabies Feel Like?
It is a point of concern for some people that what does Scabies feels like? Well the simplest answer in my opinion is “certainly not good”. I think I am justified with my opinion. If you don’t agree with me, ask a person who has suffered from this problem. He will tell you about the severity of Scabies pain.
The feelings of Scabies start earlier than the symptoms start to appear. The symptoms of Scabies might take a couple of months to appear after the Scabies parasite has entered the body of a human host. But the pain starts much earlier so you get the feelings of Scabies before you can see the symptoms. I am giving much stress to feelings because they can actually help the person to identify that he is indeed suffering from this disease in early stages. When the symptoms have not appeared even then the affected person is a source of spread of this disease among his friends and relatives.
Scabies feeling starts with severe itching. This itching is caused by the movement of parasite. Since the parasite is a living organism with the ability to movement from one place to another, so it can move under your skin where it is burrowed. There is not only a single parasite that causes itching. As it reaches the human host, it starts to multiply. The heat of human skin is considered as the best source for this parasite to function. As it gets the suitable temperature, it starts to multiply quickly. So more itching is caused due to movement of more parasites.
Though the number of active parasites is very less, still the pain increases as the time moves forwards. An important point here is that there is often more itching at the night as compared to day time. When the body is relaxed and doesn’t move that much, this parasites gets the opportunity to play its role. The pain is so severe is certain cases that the affected person is no able to sleep for many days. This can even lead to headache and other related problems.
Though Scabies is a skin disease but it can affect your health very badly. If you do feel continuous itching under your skin for some days and are unable to see anything wrong with the skin, you must consult medical expert as it can be Scabies at its early stages.
