The face is characterized by redness which often lasts for three months or sometime evens more. Rosacea is a disease which has a lot of myths associated with it, but Rosacea itself is not just a myth but an actual reality. It has no cure, but treatment is available to keep the redness at minimum, otherwise a flared up Rosacea is very difficult to handle.
Diet for Rosacea: Firstly Say good bye to Spicy foods. Spicy food must not be consumed by Rosacea patients; they will aggravate it to worse. Caffeine must be kicked out of life of Rosacea patients. Only use cottage cheese otherwise throw other dairy products out.
Alcohol in any form is a big NO. Whether red wine, beer, vodka, gin, bourbon, and champagne all must not be taken by Rosacea patients. A well planned diet can make huge changes in the life a Rosacea patient.
Rosacea Triggers: just like dairy in some people can aggravate acne, same is the case for the people with Rosacea. However only cottage cheese must be taken; otherwise dairy including yogurt, sour cream, cheese all are dietary triggers for Rosacea. Heat is also very bad for Rosacea patients, and can easily flare up Rosacea. It is always important to take proper measures against sun and heat. Sun screens must be used by Rosacea patients at all costs

Although this is partially true; but Rosacea also occurs on other areas of body such as the upper chest and even eyes. Another myth is that Rosacea is a disease associated with genetic problems: As Rosacea has no cure so they often link it with various genetic disorders and that is very much true. Clinically it has been proven that women tend to have more problem of Rosacea as compare to men. Similarly people who have generally had fair skin are affected by Rosacea. Also if there is history of Rosacea in family, it often becomes part of the genes and stems from that source.
